REQUESTED TITLE
Tok'ra
DATE OF BIRTH

GENDER
Male personality, male host.
SPECIES
Tok’ra symbiote, human host.
ANCIENT GENE
None.
MEDICAL HISTORY
As a Tok'ra, Roparzh has suffered little illness beyond the death of a host. Einar, once a warrior of Cimmeria, has several scars, including a long cut along his left forearm and a collection of whip marks across his back.
CHARACTER TRAITS
The most common description of Ro would probably be "that shady bastard." And, in a way, it's fitting. Roparzh has lived in a world (several, in fact) where even a name can get you killed, and he's quite unlikely to trust the word of any human. That said, he's not a particularly good liar - he's been caught out several times, leading to undesirable situations. He is firm in his belief that action must be taken to stop what he sees as an incorrect order, though he has in the past killed countless slaves for his vision of the greater good. Unlike most Tok'ra, Roparzh has little respect for human life, despite the simple fact that human life is required for his own survival. In this way he is more Goa'uld than Tok'ra, though it is to be expected when the Teversare view themselves as the line between the two.
Perhaps the most important aspect of Roparzh is the ability to think on his feet. Sticky situations are his forte, and while he can't always talk his way out of them - you can bet he'll slip a pair of cuffs and shimmy down the drainpipe the second you turn your back. Unfortunately, despite his superior knowledge (at least compared to humans), not even a thousand years can knock back an ego like Ro's. This stubborn assertion that he can do anything better than anyone else has led to some interesting wagers over the years, even if the losses outweigh this winnings.
FACE CLAIM

RANK / OCCUPATION
Teversare.
ASSIGNMENT
Expedition.
EXPERTISE
Roparzh doesn't have any exceptional skills beyond his knowledge of Goa'uld technology, though he has learned a thing or two from previous hosts.
HOMEWORLD
Carthi, Jaffa populated world formerly loyal to the Tok'ra in the Milky Way. And by formerly, we're talking over 1000 years ago. His host, Einar, is a Cimmerian.
FAMILY
All Tok'ra are Roparzh's biological siblings as children of Egeria, though he doesn't think of them as family. Einar's father died during Heru'ur's attack on Cimmeria while his wife was killed by the Lucian Alliance.
ASSOCIATES
Roparzh is a member of the Teversare. A group of Tok'ra that refuse to follow the commands of the High Council, opting for a more direct approach. Since he joined the SGC, however, he has had little contact with the splinter group.
PERSONAL HISTORY
12th Century
Roparzh has spent quite some time on earth through history - most notably in the 12th century. At the time, the Teversare was at it's strongest, barely hidden among the ranks of the Tok'ra and constantly striking the Goa'uld. While working his way into Sokar's ranks as a minor Goa'uld, Roparzh ended up on Earth collecting slaves under the cover of a war. At the head of this war was a trusted Goa'uld in the service of Sokar - Jasten, though the primitive humans of the time knew him as Prince John. Most of the slaves they recruited from 11th century England for the crusades were actually being sent to Sokar's naquadah mines.
To make a short story even shorter, Roparzh screwed up. He was young and arrogant, believing he could turn Jasten to their cause - and when Jasten found out exactly what that cause was, he wasn't a very happy Goa'uld. For Ro, a day of setting cargo ships to self-destruct (with little regard for the slaves onboard) ended behind bars, with a slightly happier Jasten on the other side. Fortunately for Roparzh, this is where the story gets interesting - this is when he met Ar'ane. She was another member of the Teversare, sent to furthur disrupt Sokar's supply of naquadah. Ar'ane took it one step further, however, and killed Jasten outright.
With Jasten dead, Roparzh and Ar'ane took to the land, seeking to start a rebellion against Sokar. Of course it wasn't all merry, living among filthy humans. The majority of the time, their little rebellion was hiding from Jaffa sent by another of Sokar's minor Goa'uld, Enyo. It took nearly five years to gain the support of the people, to incite an uprising and drive Enyo from Earth once and for all. By then, Roparzh and Ar'ane had become heroes, ridiculously exaggerated ones at best.
2006 - Present
Strictly speaking, what Roparzh did was against the Tok'ra's highest laws, but it had come down to desperate measures. At the time, the Teversare were attempting to halt the supply of kassa to a handful of loyal planets, but after the Tau'ri's interference the Alliance had become even more suspicious of outsiders. There was no way into their ranks, except through an existing member. With the help of Ar'ane, Roparzh kidnapped and took Einar as a host. Over the course of a year, he suppressed the human's consciousness, sabotaging the Alliance when and where he could. Unfortunately for Roparzh, the Alliance were quick to suspect Einar of the sabotage and took action. More specifically, they took his wife, killing her for the mistakes made by Roparzh - who didn't care for, or even recognise fully the woman executed before his eyes.
After the example of Einar's wife, Roparzh bolted - he left the Alliance in his spacedust and went crawling right back to the Tok'ra, stumbling into the middle of another war. After the attack on Revanna, the High Council never fully re-established itself, and what Tok'ra were left had barely survived. The one thing that remained was their spy network, and through that, Roparzh learned of the Tau'ri and their offer - technology in exchange for a host. For that reason, he sought them out and eventually gained their trust. Even after the promised host failed to appear, Roparzh remained with the SGC, joining the Pegasus Expedition.
- - - - - -
Einar was born on Cimmeria, and beyond that you're not likely to find out more. His childhood was harsh by Earth's standards, spending most of his time working as his father's apprentice. As a wood carver - an artist of skill, no doubt - he had little expectation for the future. Even travellers from Midgard were barely mentioned in his village. After his father was killed by Heru'ur's Jaffa, Einar left Cimmeria - though it was perhaps only bad luck that ended with his joining the Alliance.
