From time to time, official missions may be embarked upon. An official mission is specifically created to move the plot along. Anyone may create these missions, also known as group plots. Official missions are for anyone that has a valid reason to be there (alien race encountered, member of SGA team involved). They are defined by the big bad boss telling you to do something important (excludes turkey sandwich manufacture and cookie fetching), and will usually progress the plot, setting or timeline.

Group plots differ from personal plots - which will usually involve relationships between your own character and others. The group plots listed here are best compared to missions from the show - where a team encounters aliens/humans/furlings on another planet, or defends their base against an enemy. Both staff and members can make these missions without restriction - just make sure to label your planning thread with a date, as they will be listed in chronological order.

NPC Notes. If you're stuck with half a team and no other suitable characters currently exist, anyone can participate in a group plot with a temporary NPC without the need to create another character.
