RECRUITMENT DRIVE

Recruitment for the Pegasus Expedition has been underway since late '09 when Dr. Elizabeth Weir was given charge of the expedition. In regards to characters, this means a lot of paperwork, sorting out security clearance and signing one confidentiality agreement after another. Military and Civilian personnel are multinational, predominantly from the countries on the UNSC, but if you're the best of the best, you're likely to have earned one of the two thousand places on the expedition.

Alongside the city contingent, eight fully crewed battle cruisers accompanied the Atlantis Expedition to the Pegasus Galaxy. This fleet is made up of two BC-304s from France, China and Great Britain, alongside three BC-305s belonging to the USAF. Unlike the international expedition, ships are crewed by the respective air forces of their country. These ships are known collectively as the Pegasus Fleet.

The International Oversight Advisory has major control over the Pegasus Expedition, and there is a representative from each country of the UNSC present in the city. Dr. Elizabeth Weir is still recognized as leader of the Expedition and has final say in all matters.

TRAVEL

The majority of the expedition traveled to Atlantis through the Stargate in Colorado Springs, the last official trip before the SGC was retired. The transfer of people took three days due to the amount of people, by which time the city was floating peacefully on the ocean surface. The ships arrived in stages, with Odyssey the first to arrive, taking around four days to travel from Dakara to Lantea.

THE GREAT CITY

Compared to the SGC, there's not much difference in the day to day happenings on Atlantis. The Stargate is operational, though some lessons have been learned and currently most exploration is done by two teams with 304/305 as backup. It can get a little complicated, with practically four different countries trying to use the same Stargate, and it's become more of a race to find the best space gun left behind by the Ancients.

FRIENDS AND FOES

The Wraith, or any other major enemy have not yet been discovered. The Expedition has not discovered more than a handful of new planets, and while some of those are in Wraith territory, bear in mind that the Wraith aren't due to wake up for another fifty or so years. No, we won't make you wait fifty years before adding anything evil and life sucking into the mix, but right now there aren't enough members to make it a worthwhile event.
